Once you've started a ReQording session, ReQorder can detect a myriad of occurences related to your Qortal account and the Qortal network. You can choose to be notified of these occurences with the use of alerts.
On the left side of the alerts panel you can find the alerts options panel. Here you can set which alerts you wish to receive. Note that you can only receive alerts for data that is being ReQorded. If for example you have no watchlist applied to a database, you will not be able to receive 'minting halted' alerts. When you start a ReQording session you will be notified if any alerts will be ignored due to lack of data.
The right side of the alerts panel contains a list of alerts in the top half, and the content of the selected alert on the bottom. This interface is similar to any e-mail application that you're probably familiar with. The alerts options panel on the left side contains buttons with which you can delete alerts in your alerts list.
Alerts will always be sent to the alerts panel. You can choose to also receive e-mail alerts, in which case you'll need to provide the log-in credentials and smtp settings for your e-mail server. Note that Gmail is not supported, this is due to Google's restrictive authentication protocols. It is possible to use Gmail, but you'll have to allow 'insecure authentication' for your Google account.
The password for your e-mail server will be encrypted before being stored in the properties file, the properties file itself is also encrypted. You can also opt to lock ReQorder with a password for additional safety, which is recommended if you use e-mail alerts. The developer has taken appropriate precautions to ensure the safe storage of your data and will not be held responsible or liable for any damages resulting from the use of this program.
Please read the privacy statement and account page to learn more about how your data is handled.
You can also choose to receive status updates, this feature enables you to confirm that your Qortal node is running even if there is no internet connection or power supply. If for example, you've chosen to receive a status update every three hours and it's been more than three hours since you've received the last status alert, it's highly likely that your Qortal node is not running.
Status alerts can be set in time intervals of between one and twenty four hours. You have the option to add additional information to status alerts, like your node's and minting account's status. This can be enabled/disabled with the 'Show node info' checkbox.
Clicking the 'Balance alerts' button will present you with the balance alerts dialog. Here you can setup notifications for balance changes in any address on your watchlist. On the left side of the dialog you will see a list of your databases. Clicking on a database will present you with a list of the addresses in the watchlist that is applied to the currently selected database. If there are no addresses in the list this means that there is no watchlist applied to the selected database.
Now you can setup at which amount of QORT you'd like to be notified for each address. Note that balance alerts are set per database, so you'll only get notified if you've set the alert to the database that is currently ReQording. Also note that once you've received a balance alert, the balance alert for that address will automatically be disabled, this is to prevent ReQorder from sending you a balance alert every 60 seconds once the alert has been triggered.
